Making a Monster
A monster was made in the year of 2005 when Bret Ollenberg (drums) and Scott Auriat (guitar, vocals) decided to collaborate together it was about a year later when Collin Smyth joined the band as the bass player. They decided they would call themselves Making a Monster. As time progressed, so did the former members, leaving Scott Auriat to proceed with the project on his own.

Using a variety of studio's, producers and his own recording equiptment Scott began recording his ideas which eventually bloomed into songs. It became time to release his debut album entitled "Wild" and he introduced Nathaniel Sutton (drums) and Jim Vaughan (bass) into the mix as they promoted their music by performing live shows throughout the Edmonton area.

Making a monster has been described as a full-rock attack - with a decidedly Grunge bent and bring a shock-wave of energy to their every performance. Currently, the band is made up of members Scott Auriat and Nathaniel Sutton, expect to hear their latest album due for release in the summer of 2010 on Oak Apple Records.

"As this world keeps turning, we all keep learning, sometimes burning. Take the time to lift that small angel, you will always see yourself as a perfect stranger. The one who is forever doomed to never really know yourself is you. Walk, Run, Live, Cry, poke a monster in the eye".
